Apprendre avec Télécommunications
My game is called Apprendre avec Télécommunications. I made it with Alexa and Krista. The object of the game is to get to the end first by answering questions correctly and rolling the highest number on the dice. Depending on which colour you land on pick up the corresponding coloured card. The cards are in colour coordinated folders that tell you what category your question is in. There are 4 categories, Computers, Telephones, sending a fax and other useful terms. The person to your left reads the question and you tell them the answer. If they get it wrong they move back a space, and if they get it right they stay where they are.
Contributing to my game I feel like I did a fair share of work. I made the French Questions. I contributed the idea that lead to the name. I helped put together the questions. I formatted the Instructions. I outlined the Game board in felt. I made the snazzy folders that made the game pop. Contributing to the game I believe my group split the workload quite well and worked well with the time we had. Time management I would rate is an A.
I practiced my translation skills while making the French Instructions and I learned some new words in french such as, Rouler which is to Roll. I learned that teamwork can bring your game together very fast if everyone works at the same level and finished at the set time. The collaboration of the game made me learn how to delegate jobs off to other people so I can work as efficiently as I can.
I believe that the playability of this game is very easy to play due to the simplicity of moving forward when you roll the dice and move back a space when you get one wrong. Anyone can play this game, as long as you are comfortable with the French Technology Unit. I would rate this game an A++++ for playability because of it’s ease to use.

Sicko
Flawed Health Care Systems
The movie Sicko focuses on the flawed healthcare systems in the United States and compares it with other countries, such as Canada and Cuba. In the United States, all the HMO’s (Health Maintenance Organization) are profit based. What that means is that instead of spending time on helping people, they try to rip them off. They try to find loop holes for everything, if you breach your contract for example they won’t pay the medical bill, you will have to. In one of the interviews the lady told the viewer that in order for her to be covered by her medical plan that when she got into an accident she had to call the health insurance agency and ask if it was okay for her to go in an ambulance. While in reality you would be unconscious and could be dying. Another thing is that with your medical insurance you’re only able to go to certain hospitals, so instead of going to the nearest hospital, you would have to go another 20 or so kilometers to the next one, taking longer for you to reach medical attention.
Michael Moore takes the documentary to Paris, where he meets with American citizens who immigrated there. They told him that they have on-the-call doctors, SOS médecins, that will go to your house, any time of the night just to see you. Also, it is all free! One of the reasons it is this way is because the French citizens are taxed very heavily, but they get university and collage completely paid for, and practically free medical care.
Michael tells the viewer that the American prison in Guantanamo Bay lets the prisoners get better medical care than 9-11 rescue workers who have respiratory problems from the violent chemicals from ground zero. He hires a boat and goes out to the prison and uses a megaphone to ask them why. There was no response. In Cuba they sought medical attention and were given top notch medical attention, such as a cat-scan. It would have taken months in order to get to the top of the list in America. All the medicine in Cuba is a lot cheaper; an inhaler that costs $50 US would be 14 Paso’s in Cuba.
In the United Kingdom the medical treatment is good. The UK medical system pays you when you go to visit. Not quite as much as Paris, but they still pay you! Their medical system is very similar to Paris’, except for SOS médecins.
In Canada the health care system is based off of taxes. It is simple, if you make more money, you pay more taxes, and if you make less money you pay fewer taxes. Someone with a brain injury would take more priority than someone with a broken bone for example. You are based upon a priority level system, with brain injury at the top, and a broken finger at the bottom. Personally I like Canadian health care. That is because you just have to pay taxes to get health care. No hidden fees.

Character Map
The character map is quite a useful tool. As far as I know all the computers have one installed and are readily available.
